Sculpter Dennis Patton exhibited at Robert Mondavi Winery

Renowned sculptor Dennis Patton returns to Robert Mondavi Winery after 17 years. Patton will showcase his newest collection titled Recent Sculpture Conceptsat Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville beginning August 19th and continuing through October 13th.

"His return visit is both reminiscent of his earlier work and inspiring of new creations," said Margrit Biever Mondavi. "a composite of brilliant sculptures of massive dimension, some models of sculpture yet to be executed, and pieces that give the illusion of motion with baseball players, bicycles, climbers and others in resin and brilliant colors that are just marvelous."

Patton's work can stand more than 20 feet tall or be as small as 20 inches high. Patton's Recent Sculpture Concepts will be displayed on the main lawn at Robert Mondavi Winery and in their Vineyard Room. This new exhibit will capture Dennis' passion from beginning to end with astonishing finished pieces and other works that have yet to take shape.

Patton has sculpted pieces for communities, businesses and private collectors around the world. In Northern California, tourists and locals flock to Pier 39 in San Francisco to view Rainmaker or travel to the City of Larkspur to view the enormous sculpture of Sir Francis Drake. Dennis' works range greatly in size and utilize a diverse selection of media such as steal, resin, wood and clay. Patton is a native of California and now resides in Iowa.

Robert Mondavi Winery is located at 7801 St. Helena Highway in Oakville. Recent Sculpture Concepts will be open to the public from August 19 through October 13, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
