Tickle Pink Inn at Carmel Highlands
"A Name to Remember... a View You Will Never Forget"

Spectacular Ocean Views!Situated atop the rugged cliffs that are the Carmel coast is the Tickle Pink Inn. The Tickle Pink Inn at Carmel Highlands has become known as one of the most romantic hideaways in the United States. With a history and reputation that are founded on gracious hospitality, personal indulgent comfort, and an attention to detail, the Inn has been family owned and operated since the early fifties.

The Tickle Pink Inn was built by the Gurries Family on the site of the original home of State Senator Edward and Mrs. Bess Tickle. It was in the midst of all this beauty that Bess and Edward built their stone cottage many years ago. Mrs. Tickle was a great lover of flowers, especially pink ones, and one day a suggestion was made to call their home Tickle Pink. They did, inscribing the name on a wooden plaque. The little stone cottage has since disappeared, but the name remains and guests return time after time to experience the warm hospitality of today's Tickle Pink Inn at Carmel Highlands.

Vision Quest Ranch - Safari Style Bed & BreakfastVision Quest Ranch is home to Wild Things, which cares for over 100 exotic animals, as well as E.A.R.S., a non-profit elephant sanctuary. An overnight stay at the Vision Quest Safari Bed & Breakfast allows adults to get closer to exotic animals than they would on an African safari!

Suites are individually decorated in their own animal décor including the Giraffe Manor, Big Cat House, Pachyderm Palace, and Zebra Zone. Every bungalow has a large deck providing a spectacular view of the 5-acre elephant play yard, a king or queen size bed, an indoor sitting area, full bathroom, TV/VCR, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

Awaken to a continental breakfast delivered by our animal friends. Guests will be invited to meet the facility trainers on their evening walks with many of the Wild Things. Guaranteed to be an overnight experience found nowhere else (not even in Africa).

Some of the more adventurous choose to add a full-contact animal tour to their stay. Wild Things offers a Pachyderm Package - a full contact elephant tour, a VIP Package - a full contact tour with an elephant, bear, and a small exotic cat, and the Walk With the Animals Package -an all day tour were guests tailor their day to what animals they would like to spend time with.
