If anyone is familiar with the Gamay Rouge wine from V. Sattui winery, I'd love to know what might be similar, but available at retailers.

Merryvale and Goosecross do a basics wine class and tasting that's pretty good.

Try Cakebread, they list their classes on line, they have a food and wine pairing class and a sensory glass. Joeseph also has some classes but you have to call to inquire about them, I know that in Dec they have a blending glass that sounds fun. Lots of wineries offers classes like these, just be sure to check out their website. Have a great time!

I'm going to be in Napa in a couple weeks and i wanted to take the Guided Tour at the Robert Mondavi Winery, which teaches the newbie the basics of wine tasting : drinking, smelling, reading wine labels, swirling. Unfortunatley, they are all sold out for the days i want to go. Is there something similar in the Napa area that does this that is similar or even BETTER?!
