Why, yes, we have been up Spring Mountain way and the drive is spectacular - I highly recommend it. We have visited Terra Valentine twice - the first time we were the only tasters, the second there was a full group. They do the tasting around a table - I believe 12 total. (By appt only - but I think all Spring Mountain wineries require appts.) Our first time, since it was just us, was really special. The winemaker stopped by and visited and brought out a bottle that they didn't usually offer - so we felt very special. The second time there was a group of 6-7 men, another couple, and then us and our friend. It was a fun group, and completely different from our first visit. We enjoyed their wines and bought several bottles. We have also visited Pride Mountain and Barnett. Pride Mountain has a wonderful tour and we had a picnic there as well (brought along our sandwiches). Barnett was just us again and the young man who met us was quite charming and told us all sorts of wonderful stories. We tasted at their small bar area among their barrels - great fun and we enjoyed the wine, and bought several bottles. The views from Pride, Barnett and Terra Valentine are just gorgeous. Give it a try! But do make appointments...

Just wondering if anyone have taken the Spring Mountain trip? What did you taste? Was it worth the long drive? I believe I have been to Pride Mountain before, but it was several years ago. Would appreciate your input.
