It has since been consumed, but the bottle with its pretty "J" sits on her bookshelf and holds a tiny "candelabra" of tea lights... Great moms think alike and all that IP: 166.205.12.70
Poohh66 Member	posted 02-14-2011 09:24 AM Day 1 Ramey Wine Cellars ~private tasting atmosphere, my husband and I were the only ones there, very pleasant, ~our favorite... 2007 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay and the 2006 Cabernet Annum J Vineyards ~we parked here thinking it was Rodney Strong, they basically share a parking lot, we are not at all into sparkling, bought a 2002 J Vintage Brut to save and share with our daughter "J"essica one of these days really liked the 2007 Pinot Nicole and the Ratafia dessert wine. Overall we were glad we stopped. Rodney Strong ~walked up to the tasting counter and tried the Reserve ..... loved 2007 Reserve, pretty good stuff. Chalk Hill ~the highlight of the day!! -walked in at 2:55 and asked if we could join the 3:00 tour/tasting, they were very accommodating and we were impressed by the property, very nice tour. We had started the tasting before we left, and came back to continue, the rest of the tour left and we were left there with a group of four that had come to taste, great time! we even took a tour of the 'secret room' a wine cellar down stairs, outstanding! Our favorite... 2007 Estate Red, pretty good stuff, and the 2006 Estate Bottled Merlot Cheer! as Hawkeye puts it...
