Hi Poohh, There must be some heavy lobbying going on down there and a lot of money being thrown around by the Distributors. If they cut off shipping from California wineries, according to a recent ruling (1-2 years) by the U. S. Supreme Court, Florida wineries will not be able to ship either. Since Tennessee legalized it, at least the wineries have to pay for a "certificate of shipping" plus they have to collect sales tax. I would guess this has been a very BIG win for Tennessee. As with Yesilovewine, I don't think it would do any good for a Tennesseean to send an email. Just remember who they are when the next election comes. IP: 68.169.189.111 |

Hi Pooh. This is disturbing. Your state must have some powerful lobbyists planted somewhere. Given that these are Florida senators, it would probably not be effective for us outsiders to speak up- Florida legislators don't care what I think in Oregon, for example. However, are you in any local wine clubs or do you have wine bars that you visit? Those are the folks whose voices will matter. IP: 98.232.221.183 |
