Bev

We have stayed at The Pink Mansion B & B in Calistoga......just past the traffic light going north on left of hwy. Had a great stay there back in 2003....Toppa & Leslie are great people and really made us feel welcome.

Here is their website: http://www.pinkmansion.com/index.html

Hi Bev,

I know the owner of the Napa Old World Inn from TripAdvisor.com and would think that he runs a great B&B. If you can't find what you are looking for in a B&B, you might try the Hotel Yountville which has just recently undergone a lot of construction. We stayed in the old one, but not the new one yet.

Most of us that go a couple times a year stay at the Best Western in Napa or Calistoga. My preference is the latter. We save our money to purchase wine

Most of the wineries produce both white and red wines, so that should not be a problem.

Have a great trip.

Bev, most of the regulars use hotels, so I'm not sure what to suggest....what about one of the resort properties? Some of those have cottage-style lodging.
The only B&B's I know in Napa are Napa Old World Inn ..did you try them?
I know that in the town of Sonoma there are quite a few B&B's, so if there isn't something in Napa that suits, had you considered Sonoma?

Still trying to find a place to stay....harder than I thought....wanted to do something a little more quaint than a hotel, like a B&B or private rental, but no luck so far........any ideas???

Hey you guys...
try taking a look at the itineraries that folks have been discussing lately and see if any of those posted make sense for your needs. The great thing about this forum is that peolpe are pretty detailed in their trip descriptions and it can make for great reading and planning.

My wife and I are doing the same thing, we just literally bought a deal on Eversave.com for two nights at the Craftsman Inn (with several wine tastings included). Here is the link: http://www.eversave.com/travel/craftsman-inn

Good luck!

OK...planning a very short notice trip. Need recommendations! Prefer a B & B, a Balloon ride, and like both white and red so open to ALL wineries. Thanks for the info!
