Hi Kod,

Having tasted at both Spring Mountain previously and Howell Mountain just last week, my choice would be Howell Mountain. The wineries are a little harder to find, but worth the trip for both the wines and the views which were fantastic.

Starting at the top of Howell, we tasted at Black Sears, Outpost, O'Shaughnesy, and Arkenstone. But then you could add in (coming down) Ladera, Burgess, and Bremer Family. All had excellent wines, especially the Cabs. These are mostly small wineries and some are hard to find but well worth the chase.

Have a great trip.

What are the differences ( if any) of the wineries in these areas in terms of character of the wine and scenery?
