Yes, D'. No worries. I just can't believe I made such a stupid error....still kicking myself. By the way, do you ever go to Oxbow Market? I'm still trying to figure out if that is where Mahoney has their tasting room.By the way, how is Mr. D's knee coming along? Yeah, I sure feel stupid about that. We felt that their Reserve Cab was their best offering, by the way. We met the winemaker, Brett, and I asked him his favorite SONOMA winery and he said Hanzell, so any of you looking to try one we don't hear much about on the Sonoma board you may want to give Hanzell a try. Oh, by the way, the winery I confused with ZD is a Sonoma facility- Saxon Brown. FAN-tastic Semillon and old vine zin. Well, if I can't count on yesilovesmesomewine for correct information, then what hope is there for the rest of us??? ps - we are planning on doing a tasting at ZD next month - glad to hear so many positive remarks! IP: 76.31.52.34 |

I am SOOO glad that you guys are here to keep me in line!!! ZD does indeed have a tasting room- its right here in my brochure that I had misplaced. Pahlmeyer, though, does not. WE talked with about a dozen wineries at this event and I got my notes confused....my apologies to all for irresponsible reporting! IP: 71.65.197.21 |

That happens! But, really.....after I saw your post I checked their website and it listed info about their walk-in tastings & special tours/tastings. Had me worried there for a bit....'cause I was really looking forward to visiting them and doing a tasting there. I had put them on my list while sitting in the restaurant enjoying a glass of their PN back in December. Hadn't checked their website for info until I read your post this morning. Hmmm...I could have sworn he told me that they don't have a tasting room....guess I'd had more wine than I thought IP: 71.65.197.21 |

We attended a wine event last weekend and encountered 2 wineries I'd like to mention for your information. Neither of these places has a tasting room, but you may find them on a restaurant wine list. First: ZD Wines, located along the Silverado Trail if I understood the location correctly...Bret DeLuze is the winemaker. We enjoyed their Chardonnay and their Reserve Cab. Next :Pahlmeyer, located in St. Helens. Their wines are just delicious, but they are not widely available because their production is tiny. They do not even offer tastings, but I wanted to alert you to a good choice if you see them on a wine list somewhere, or an event where they are pouring. IP: 71.65.197.21 |
