Hello Yes,

I think you'll be happy with Silverado. If Nick is around, he's a great host and you can tell him that I recommended him. We are attending a lobster feast at Silverado next month and we're also going to be tasting some older cabs.

Hi Richard!
Thanks for the reply.
I have now forgotten which one we were able to get into...tickets sold out for the dinners within a few hours in some cases; I don't know how people can react that fast!
Silverado will be pouring at another event we're attending, so I will get a shot at them there, I hope.

Is it too late to weigh in? I've tried all three wines and I've been to Pride Mountain and Silverado Vineyards. I would go with Silverado. They have some okay wines, but they normally bring out some incredible wines for their events -- wines with age on them which I find special.

So sorry to be so long to answer you D'...
the dinners are part of a food and wine event in Charleston in March. "The Charleston Food and Wine Festival" is an event that's been around for quite a while apparently and we just learned of it last year ( saw the ad in Southern Living)and were able to attend. Great fun!

We visited Pride most recently and enjoyed their wines and their people. Visited Honig a few years ago and liked them. Silverado, while a lovely property, wasn't memorable for us - but that could just have been because we were worn out when we got there. So my personal ranking would be Pride first, Honig second, and Silverado third. How did you find out about these dinners??? and how come I never time our visits right!? Or do you just know the right people

Hi Yes,

I concur with Rebel! I believe I would choose Pride. It is the only one we have visited and they have excellent wines. However, I am sure no matter which one you choose, it will be a fantastic dinner.
