Looks like we are all set. I have added Suhr Luchtel on Friday and then we head back to Frisco. Also Hawkeye we are meeting Scotti for lunch and he will take us to both locations so I am sure he will flip flop Charnu and Pavitt.

Thanks to all of you for the wonderful advice and help. I can't wait to get back to Napa.

Cheers,

Reb

Hi Reb,

Wow, good itinerary.

Somehow, your itinerary flew past me. I believe your group would like Redmon Wines. Lisa Redmon-Mangelson and her husband established this winery just a few years ago. They make a Cab, Cab blend and a Chardonnay. Lisa is a great hostess and is very excited about her wines. On the south edge of St. Helena, not too far from Chase.

Also, just off the same road as Chase is Anomoly Vineyards. Again, a small producer that tastes in their cave.

You might consider flopping Charnu and Phifer Pavitt. PP is closer to Calistoga where I believe you are having lunch. Both tastings have unique tasting rooms.

Please let me know how the tasting at Chase goes since Jeff is no longer there.

Let me know if you need more.

Looks terrific! Tell everyone to bring lots of money So many great wines that you will want to take home with you!!

I believe that Suhr Luchtel would be very close to Biale. I think that they are neighbors...
Hawkeye told me about them a few years ago and we enjoyed their wines and visiting with Don Suhr. We had arranged to taste their wines with the other partner, Gary Luchtel, and it would have been at his house. At the last minute, Gary had to leave (for a funeral, so who could be put out by the change?) Anyway, we met instead at a winery in Carneros and Don brought a variety of wines for us to try. We ended up sending home a mixed case with Pinots, Zins, their blend Mosaique, and a cab. We are not Pinot Noir appreciators, but we found that their Pinot had more body than most, so we enjoyed it.
We just last week went to a wine dinner and got to meet Gary - he is quite entertaining.
I'd encourage you to contact them and see if one of them is available to meet with your group. Check their website for the wines that they have and the contact info.

I'll keep thinking about others in the area...

It will be 8 of us in this group. Everyone in our group has been to Napa Valley at least once but they allowed me to set the agenda. Someone else chose the hotel...we are staying at Silverado Resort in Napa. I don't know anything about this resort. Everyone is coming in on Tuesday, March 5th.

Wednesday, March 6

Stags Leap Wine Cellars
Chase Family with lunch
Hall Rutherford
J Gregory
Celadon-dinner

Thursday, March 7

Chateau Montelena
Solbar-Solage(Lunch)
Charnu
Phifer Pavitt
Black Sears
Bottega-dinner

Friday, March 8

Robert Biale

Undecided on the rest of the day. Everyone will be going back to San Francisco this evening and staying near the airport as most everyone has a 6 am flight out the next morning. I need some suggestions for the rest of Firday.

Thanks for your input.

Cheers,

Reb
