If your lodging has a concierge, you might also ask them for some help. I have read about very creative scenarios created for proposals in napa...some pretty off the wall and some very charming...in magazines and on another well known "forum-based" website. I've forgotten all the details, but one that I recall involved getting a special label printed with the proposal on it, and getting the restaurant to help with getting that label on the wine that was ordered for dinner at one of the "nicer" restaurants...thus creating a wonderful keepsake! Clever!

Sterling would be good. You would have some privacy because the tour is self guided. I agree about doing the Reserve tasting. I think $30 pp, but if you get the winery finder app, I think it was half off. Can't remember. That app saved us quite a bit. In Calistoga.

Castillo de Amorosa is a beautiful replica of a Tuscan castle. Great views from some areas in castle. We enjoyed it. Also in Calistoga.

So many great places.

Congrats and best wishes!!!

There is a tram ride up to the winery at Sterling - pretty views on the way up. Then you do a self-guided tour that ends up on a gorgeous patio with a pretty fabulous view. If you decide on Sterling, opt for the Reserve tasting afterwards - those wines are far superior to the wines in the regular tasting area.
Cheers!

Silverado would be nice. Either just on the terrace at the tasting room, or during a tour of the vines.

Hi there. Could anyone help me with the best places to propose to my g/f in Napa? IE the wineries with the most stunning views and tours? Possibly a nice vineyard tour?

A guy at a local wine store mentioned the following:
Quintessa
Fransico ( specifically in the Redwood Grove)
Chateau Montelena

thanks a million,
