Hi Hawkeye-

Although this is a very late reply, Stag's leap wine cellars is the one you like. Stags' leap winery is the stuffier one (but does have very good Petite Sirah).

How doI know this, you must be wondering... Two years ago, on our first Napa trip you were of great help. I remember reading your posts and took some of your suggestions. (Baldacci is a favorite!) We liked Stags' Leap Winery when we toured their estate on that first trip and it was a fun time. (My husband and I shared our first bottle of wine over their petite sirah and it was the bottle that got us into wine).

Anyway we are planning our third year in Napa this fall so I am back on the boards researching.

Many, many thanks for your suggestions and sage advice! Although I haven't posted a lot, each year I read the threads and they have given me many good ideas and two fabulous trips so far. Thanks and cheers!

Howdy Hawkeye! Happy Father's Day!

I can't remember the difference between the two, so I googled "Stags' Leap Winery vs. Stag's Leap Wine Cellars". Check out this link for some interesting history (scroll down a bit)

Please help me! I remember that there is a difference between Stag's Leap Winery and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, but I cannot remember which one was recommended. I know it was one over the other, and I think it was Stag's Leap Winery, not the other. Thanks.
