I am heading out to California on a wine trip in a couple of weeks. The first part of the trip, we're doing the central coast. We only have a couple of days in Napa and we're visiting/tasting with Scotti Stark (Phifer Pavitt & Switchback Ridge), Silverado, Robert Biale, Neyers, Ladera and Black Sears. A number of repeats for us, but we have some new people in our group. I'm looking forward to the new ones (Scotti, Biale & Neyers).

After that we go up to Amador County. A couple of days later, I might be back in Napa for a day with my lovely wife and we may do some other places, but nothing set yet.

Hi Damombo and everyone else,

If you see spammers post like the cell phone one, there is a "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the Message Board to report them. I reported the one for cell phones and it was removed.

Since returning home from South Dakota earlier this month, both of us have had a terrible cold and have not felt like drinking wine until last night. We opened an 06 J. Gregory that was absolutely delightful.

No Squire this trip - we are trying a few new places though, so it will be interesting to see what thrills us and what leaves us with a "meh"...

Good for You, on both counts- trip and hosting. We are still in boxes, so no hosting here.
Look forward to your reports. Are you going to see Squire and Suzy?

Haven't jumped ship! In fact, we are headed to Napa Valley this Thursday evening
Which means I will have a trip report to post when we get back.

We are going to a conference, so Friday and Saturday we will only have the afternoon to wine explore, but Sunday we have most of the day. Then on Monday, we spend the morning in Napa Valley, the afternoon in Dry Creek. Tuesday will be Dry Creek again, then Sonoma, then head to the airport for an early Wednesday flight home.

We've been having fun hosting wine & food pairing dinners for friends and family - since the end of July, we've had 3 different dinners. Lots of fun, lots of food, and lots of wine!!
