Yes,

I am planning on being in the bay area the last week of April, so I will probably hop up to Napa if for no other reason to pick up some of my wine that is waiting for me.

Hiya D'!!
We're quite well, thanks. Just getting moved into the new house and figuring out where things go...you know the drill.
Edgestar is one of the brands we're thinking about- thanks for the heads up on the racks.
No plans for western travel for us, trying to find new adventures closer to home. The Charleston Wine and Food Festival ( just last weekend) will probably be our new annual trek. Its lots of fun and extremely varied in what's offered- bet you would like it. Had the opportunity to try Peay and "My Essentials" and found both to be disappointing. As a matter of fact, we didn't really have any wines that were memorable .... that is unusual. Best thing we had was a new beverage that is like Kahlua but made from Tennessee Whiskey- really delish, and then a Jim Beam Sour which I never had had before but would definitely have in the future if offered!!
Thanks again for the wine frig name-

hi ya Yes!
I'm gonna have to dig out the invoice because one of these refrigerators doesn't have it's brand where I can see it - weird, huh? And it is the one I wouldn't recommend… We got it last fall when we realized that once again we had gone overboard - we do that too often.
OK, here it is - EdgeStar 166 bottle. Got it thru Wine Cooler Direct. I have no problem with the seller - I just didn't read the review closely and discovered that while this thing can hold that many bottles, you have a heck of a time pulling out the shelves with the bottles in there. I was designed for skinnier bottles I guess. A syrah bottle or the newer, thicker cabs make it difficult.
The Danby we have only hold 75, but the spacing is much better.
We don't have any dates planned for another Napa trip just yet, but we are going to Paso Robles with a group in June for a few days! And since we are flying into OAK, we will probably manage a one day in Napa, but won't mention it to the Paso crowd
Hawkeye should be finishing up his trip right about now, so hopefully he will entertain us with his trip report soon.
How are things wherever you are these days?

Thanks Richard. Left Brain is looking at a stand-up unit by Summit. I can't find any reviews for it, so I'm just a bit nervous....

Got any wine trips coming up?

I was looking for a new cooler and I was thinking about a Le Cache unit which seemed to have the best reviews (although they were more expensive). I ended up finding a really nice used vinotemp credenza unit. I would probably not have bought it new because the cooling unit got poor reviews. However, I figured that I would get a new cooling unit. The old cooling unit didn't last the move, so I ordered a cellarpro cooling unit that worked really well. I'm happy with everything.

Though this isn't really a travel related query, I hope my pals here can offer some solutions for my dilemma...
In our last move our wine refrigerator died form unknown cause. I think that the motherboard of the controls got fried while in storage, but at any rate, its deader than a door nail and now its time to put away the wine and we have no cooler.
I know that in the nether regions of this thread there was a conversation about wine storage, but that was really more about creating a cellar as I recall, and I don't have that option.
We need a 170- bottle capacity cooler that is free standing; dual zone would be nice but isn't absolutely necessary.
Any of you have a unit that you really like, and would recommend? I can't find reviews for anything above a 54 bottle unit, and that doesn't really help...
