Just tryin' to help out....!
That's what we're here for.
The Wine 101 section has a great piece about the different grapes grown in the area and how they are used. Love to add to those brain wrinkles and learn something new. ( As long as the wrinkles stay on IN side we're ok... )
I think that there have been some changes since I looked at this site some years back- it seems easier to use now.

That's a great website! I'd been there before, but hadn't looked too closely. Those maps are great, and you click on the winery name, and then you are at their website. So convenient and easy! Thanks yesilovewine - so glad you decided to hang around

Hawkeye, the Visa Signature website also keeps a current list, just so ya know.
By the way, you know those maps you keep having to enlarge? I found some good ones that are bigger on www.wineroad.com. To the right there is a list of AVA maps...very simple and easy to read.

We have written about the perks of the Visa Signature card on this MB. Many of the wineries in the Sonoma County subscribe to this program that gives you free tastings and a percentage off wine and merchandise purchases. Many times I have wondered if this winery or that winery participates. Up until now, the only way I had to find out was to ask when I bellied up to the bar. Recently I ran across this website that not only maintains a list of participating wineries, but has a multitude of other information. I just checked our upcoming itinerary, and on the first two days I found 6 wineries on the list. I think that equates to $120.00 savings or more.

Here is the website http://www.sonomawine.com/visa-signature-perks

Cheers!
