Oh Hawkeye, you are so nice. Its unfortunate that the timing of this move and my need to refrain from the boards has left y'all thinking that my feelings are hurt. I'm too old and thick skinned to let a little ribbing bother me- its always been part of the fun, I thought; internet pals giving each other "the business" while sharing our love of wine and wine country. I guess that I didn't handle this very well- my intent was to let everyone know that my situation has changed and I won't really be available for posting ( can only do it now cuz we haven't packed the office yet!) and I didn't want to appear to be rude by just quitting. I really have told you guys all I know ( and then some) about Sonoma, so I feel pretty satisfied that you know what I know ( especially now that I found those last few things in my stuff and got them on here). My scope of knowledge isn't going to change for some time, unless we get some good scoops from our wine club connections...and I will pass on anything that sounds pertinent from them. Our new job will involve a LOT of international travel and not much time for vacay, so I'm going to be out of the loop for a good while. With nothing new to add, and all I know already here, seems like a good time to make room for someone who has something new to bring to the table. You and D' know how to reach me if something comes up that you think I may help with; I think that e-mail will stay intact for another few months and if something changes, I'll let you know. Have fun, don't worry about me- I'm just fine ( if a little tired of packing tape and boxes) and next time you hit Sonoma, get some Maple Zin and think of me. (Highly recommend the Armida Tina's Block for that) One final note, however, we did decide that when we do get back we are going to make our next mission the sampling of all the Rockpile Zinfandels we can find. That should keep us busy for a few days... Thanks for the concern, but really, its just timing not ill feelings.IP: 98.232.221.183 |

Hi Yesilovewine,Sorry we were so hard on you so to drive you away! You have my email address, too, so if you want to communicate or just find out what wine we are drinking. You know the information we offer is new all the time. When a new person comes aboard, they don't think to look back to see what has happened in the past, only what is pertinent for them in the future . . . so your information will always be useful. Don't shun us, let us hear from you once in a while, even if only personally. I consider it a privilege to have received the information that you shared. Thanks. Safe voyage. -Hawkeye [This message has been edited by Hawkeye (edited 06-12-2011).] IP: 173.247.8.79 |

You guys, I have 6 weeks to prepare for relocation and that's a lot to do in a short time! Further wine country visits will be out of the question. At least for a few years.... Can't say any more about the re-lo, sorry. I really don't see that I have anything else I can tell you, anyway- I think I've posted on most every topic for which I have information that might be helpful...and probably a few that aren't! I just didn't want to stop posting without explanation- I thought that would be rude. I'll be checking in periodically while we are getting ready, so if something comes up that you think I can help with, give a shout. You know I'm happy to give an opinion !By the way, D'- hope the hubby's rehab goes well. [This message has been edited by yesilovewine (edited 05-30-2011).] IP: 98.232.221.183 |

Greetings all and farewell! Our relocation has come through so I will no longer be going to Sonoma. Since I think I've given all the pertinent information I have to offer it seems like an opportune time to say thanks for all the great conversations and information sharing! Oh, and by the way, for those who wondered- no, I am not affiliated with any Sonoma County agencies- wine related or otherwise. I don't know how that rumor got started but I'm just an old lady who is a dedicated researcher. No secret associations here- just a dedicated Sonoma wine lover and nothing more!
