Hi There . . . thank you for the encouragement. I am actually based in MI but my "boss" and the organization is in LA. The event will be held in Beverly Hills.

I will keep at it. So many fun tours out there - - I want to go back to Cali and take them myself!! Been thinking of moving to Cali - - or Hawaii. hee hee.

Have a great weekend.

Don't give up yet!
We just got a notice from Bella, a Dry Creek winery where we are members, and they do offer a wine cave dinner to their members. Its not cheap, but since they already offer them, you might inquire about it.
I didn't ask where you are based and where your auction will be held, but it may be best to try to put a whole "package" together if you're from outside CA....look through the event calendars and see if you can find something that sounds really cool in repect to the potential bidders...then put lodging and a dinner with that.
Several of the wine travel websites offer special packages, so you might check those vendores and see if they can work with you.
Keep at it...

Hello and welcome.
What a great idea, and yes there are lots of potential donors out there.
I believe that a call to specific wineries may be the best bet- explain what you are trying to do and ask if they would donate a wine dinner or winemaker dinner to your cause. Wilson Artisan Wineries sponsors several charity oriented events during the year so they may be a good starting place.
And Williamson sponsors a winemaker dinner every month, so you might ask them.
During Harvest there is a winery in the Russian river area that holds a couple of events that benefit women's charities- I think its Amphora, but I'm not sure. One of the things they "do" is a grape stomp for women only. If you will research grape stomp events you should find it as they have done it for several years.
If you talk to the folks at wineroad.com, they may donate tickets to one of their signature events like Taste of Dry Creek or the wintertime event. Any event that is pretty big and worth making the trip for, ya know?
In Alexander Valley, there is a carriage tour company that might work with you; 4 wineries via horsedrawn carriage plus lunch. Add a Family Table meal at Seghesio and lodging at a Healdsburg facility and you would really have something!

For a tour company, Platypus always comes up first; never used them but folks seem to really like them.

Sorry to get carried away- I used to do a lot of this kind of thing and got into "mode".

Hello everyone!

The organization I work for is hosting a red-carpet, charity event and I thought maybe a wine tasting package/tour might be a fun item to bid on at an auction.

Anyone have any good experience or recommend a good tour company to contact to see if they would be interested in donating or being a part of this event? Proceeds will be going to our nonprofit charity partner that helps aid women and children of domestic violence.

Thank you in advance for any help.
