Gutted the utility room and powder room. Scraped that pesky popcorn off the ceiling. Had to do the mud thing on the new sheetrock. Had to texture the naked ceiling and new sheetrock. Paint galore. Oh, and laid new vinyl tiles on the floor - the non-stick variety. Took days to get the adhesive off of fingers and even elbows. How did I manage to get adhesive on my elbows?

Anyway, it was a good excuse to say, each evening, "I really deserve a glass of wine!"

Next is to change out all of the baseboards and door trim to something a bit more up to date, scrape a few more rooms that have the popcorn, texture, and paint the entire house. Then I'm going to paint the kitchen cabinets

Then I'll have another glass of wine...

Cheers!

Another project, D'? What are you working on now?
We enjoyed FieldStone when we went; its very small but the folks are very nice and the picnic area is just gorgeous.

Well that isn't very cooperative of them!

I haven't gotten around to doing what I said I'd do - I've been scraping ceilings and replacing sheetrock (well, the hubby actually did that) and sealing seams and applying texture... never a dull moment! But I will find time soon to start planning the October trip

We will be going to a Dutcher Crossing event - a wine release party, so that should be lots of fun. And I bought a groupon for a new (to me) place: Field Stone. The reviews on yelp are very favorable, so we shall see!

Finally got the scoop on Remick Ridge.
They no longer produce wine! A-ha! no wonder I couldn't find them anywhere.
Last production was in 2004.
