Have heard of each but visited neither. Can't help with first hand accounts, but try reading the blog "Drink Dry Creek"; I have this notion that I have seen one of them mentioned there.
Also, if you aren't familiar with the California Winery Advisor site, they offer the opportunity to review places and I think that most of the Sonoma wineries are on their list, so you might look there for some first-hand experiences.

I know both are excellent Pinot Noir. I know Peay requires advanced reservation. Anyone been? What about Paul Hobbs?
