tammy unregistered	posted 08-17-2004 11:52 AM I loved the Sea Rock Inn. We stayed in 15B and just adored our room, our look out over our little deck, everything about this place. Wonderful breakfasts too and great coffee. The innkeepers are so nice and helpful! It is in a great location, short hike to town and the Headlands. We enjoyed dinner at Cafe Beaujolais and Sharons by the Sea (great sunset view). We walked out to Pt Cabrillo Lighthouse which was fun. We will definately be back here sometime again soon. I would stay only here in Mendocino. We looked at other locations while we were there just to check them out and this is BY FAR the best spot to stay! IP: 209.76.104.175

At Willits, take Highway 20 west again, and go south on Highway 1. At Mendocino, exit right onto Lansing Street, and The Sea Rock Inn is ahead on the left. From San Francisco scenic inland route (approx. 3 1/2 hours) Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue northbound on Highway 101 past Marin exits, Petaluma, Santa Rosa and Healdsburg to Cloverdale. Take Highway 128 (last Cloverdale exit) through the beautiful Anderson Valley and Navarro River Redwoods until you reach Highway 1 at the coast. Proceed north on Highway 1 for 10 miles to Mendocino. At the traffic light, go left (west) on Little Lake Road, then turn right at the stop sign onto Lansing Street. The Sea Rock Inn is 1/3 mile ahead on the right. From San Francisco scenic coastal route (approx. 6 hours) Cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Take 101 northbound. At the Highway 1 / Muir Woods exit, go west on Highway 1. Continue north along the coast for another 5 hours until you reach Mendocino. At the traffic light, go left (west) on Little Lake Road, then turn right at the stop sign onto Lansing Street. The Sea Rock Inn is 1/3 mile ahead on the right. This is a gorgeous coastal route, but is winding and somewhat slow. We recommend only taking this route one way and using the inland route the other way. From Napa Valley (2 1/2 hours) Follow Highway 29 north to Highway 128 west at Calistoga, and then to Highway 101. Take Highway 101 north until you reach Highway 128 West at Cloverdale. Proceed northwest on Highway 128 through the beautiful Anderson Valley and Navarro River Redwoods until you reach Highway 1 at the coast. Proceed north on Highway 1 for 10 miles to Mendocino. At the traffic light, go left (west) on Little Lake Road, then turn right at the stop sign onto Lansing Street. The Sea Rock Inn is 1/3 mile ahead on the right. From the Northwest or Oregon (5 hours from border) Take Highway 101 south to Leggett, then take Highway 1 south. Or: take Highway 101 south to Willits, then west on Highway 20 to Highway 1, then go south 10 miles to Mendocino. Take a right on Lansing Street, and The Sea Rock Inn is 1/3 mile ahead on the left. The photos are much better than before and it really gives you a better idea of how nice this property is as well as the location. Truely amazing views of the mendocino coast and wildlife abounds just outside your door. We saw Whales migrating and seals poping up closer inn to shore. This in is like a cross between a mendocino bed and breakfast and a vacation rental as it combined the best of both in one Mendocino inn. IP: 209.76.104.175

A small mendocino hotel or vaction rental on the coast would be ideal. Or perhaphs situated in a California Redwood forest? I keep seeing the Sea Rock Inn popping up everywhere.
