Heres a less expensive way- go to the Napa Community College website and drill down to the community education/cooking classes. If your visit coincides with one the evening or satrurday classes they offer, they are very worthwhile and you don't leave hungry. Its not as foo-foo as dining in a cve or anything but its a lot of fun. the college has a very successful culinary arts program and this is part of it.

Hello Charlie,
Check out the "culinary activities" on these pages:
www.napavalley.com/thingstodo/culinary_activities/featured.html
and
www.napavalley.com/thingstodo/culinary_activities/listings.html
Some have standard venues, others, like Culinary Getaways, will have classes at varied places.
Have fun!

Hey there community,

Just curious as to where I can find a winery or place you can cook your food, be taught to do this, and then dine with a small group of people? A cable TV program once highlighted a small group cooking class where you would venture into the garden to gather your basics for the foods, then be taught along with your group on how to cook your food, capping off with the actual dining and sharing of the prepared meal.
Anyone know where in Napa Valley to do this? I'll be new to this region come May 1st.

Any younger groups going around the late 20 something - mid 30 something range?

Thanks!

Charlie
