My wife and I have tried a couple of the hot new restaurants in Yountville, but always go back to our favorite, Bouchon. The food and service are always top notch. If it's a nice day sit outside, otherwise get a corner table inside, the people watching is great.

We loved the tomato soup at Bistro Jeanty too!
We're planning to try Hurley's in April - so I'm glad you recommend it.
You sound like my kinda gal - progressive dinner-syle, yum!!

Darn...forgot that I also went to Cantinetta Piero (restaurant inside Hotel Luca) at the South end of Yountville. On the same night as Bistro Jeanty - yeah don't ask.

Group of friends had appetizers and drinks here. Can't comment on dinner. Really like the vibe and atmosphere in here. Has bit of a more modern twist. Oh and do not miss out on sitting at the PIZZA BAR. It was so fascinating watching the Sous Chef and company make pizzas and plate all of the dishes being served that night. Imagine instead of watching some Chef in their kitchen on TV you're watching it live! Oh, and a great chance to yap it up with the chef and cooks. Get some inside cooking tips and best dishes to try, etc.

Fabulous time - I would definitely recommend folks to try it out.

I have too many to count, and sad to say I've just added another to my list - Bistro Jeanty!

For a long time (3 years) I had sworn off the place. I had gone twice and was less than impressed despite so-called ravings of others. I was cajoled into going the other weekend though and then returned again in less than a week to try other dishes!

Had the mussels - oh wow. So delicious, the sauce that the mussels sit is is just so buttery good! And I don't even like mussels, well I didn't before this...

Also had the sole with a butter lemon sauce atop mashed potatoes. Also a good dish. Fish was flaky (though i was the fillet was bigger) and the potatoes I could eat all day every day.

Tried other folks entrees - pork shoulder. Just falls apart as soon as you touch the fork to it. Lined with fat, but hey - you have to indulge sometimes right? It was served atop a butternut squash gratin. Nice combo. Didn't care for the brussel sprouts, but to each their own. Oh and also tried this beef stew of sorts. The meat was very tender. Liked the dish but not my favorite.

If you're in Yountville, definitely stop by this French restaurant for lunch or dinner. Good to make reservations. Oh, and before I forget - have to order their signature tomato puff soup. Beyond yum...

Can't leave without shouting out my other favorites in town - Ad Hoc, Bouchon, Hurleys!
