I wasn't sure if anything would be open on Christmas day, so I went to OpenTable.com and plugged in 12/25/2013 for 4 people in Wine Country (part of the San Francisco Bay Area restaurants section). There are a number of places open apparently - of the places listed, Auberge du Soleil would be very special. Especially if you are able to sit on the deck. The views are magnificent! If they have the French Onion Soup on the menu that day, order it! Best I've ever tasted
The great thing about OpenTable is the links to all of the restaurants - you can check out the menu and the location, etc. and see what appeals to you and the family. And it's always great to have the reservation made before you get to town - I like the security of knowing we have a place to dine.
If you check 12/24/2013, there are lots of places open for dinner - so if you can't find a place you'd like for Christmas day, there is always Christmas eve!

We are a family of 4 travelling in the Napa Valley for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a special place that will be open for Christmas Day lunch that we can go to. We have no food allergies and are open to all sorts of cuisine, however we would prefer something that would make our Napa Christmas experience memorable.
