I feel your pain! It's not easy to do much of anything with a teenager let alone drag them along to wineries or fine dining. What's your teen into? That could help narrow down the options. As an initial thought, the Oxbow Market seems like good spot for the whole family bc it has a variety of casual food options, wine for the adults!, ice cream, kara's cupcakes, outdoor seating with wifi access, etc. You can take your food & wine outside and sit at the tables and enjoy not talking to each other. Pooh, you know I'm a Sonoma gal, but Napa does have quite a few wineries with renowned art collections, and for quirky stuff there is the DiRossi ( I think that's right spelling). Cooking classes might be fun, too.IP: 71.65.248.214 |

Reading any of the threads on the message boards is always entertaining, but I think this one tops my meter of "hilariousness"!First comment by damombo and the comment by Hawkeye were classic! LOL LOL LOL. I personally think every once in awhile it's nice to have some ideas for stuff to do in Napa Valley besides drink wine. But then again I live in the area so maybe that's why. Like I would love to hear about where to go hiking in the area, and I've heard of the biking and wine tasting, which sounds like fun. Never tried it though. Oooh, or now that I'm into photography - best places to go for photo ops! I think I'll start a thread on this actually... IP: 68.121.220.114 |

Lot's of great things to do in Napa. Horse back riding, river tours, art on 1st in downtown Napa, Calistoga Geysers, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Uptown theater offers great concerts, beer tasting at Napa Smith Brewery and hiking just to name a few things. Of course lots of great restaurants too.IP: 71.198.155.193 |

Sorry, I don't have anything to add. Why go to wine country if you are going to spend some of your time not tasting? IP: 68.169.189.111 |

Hey Pooh, I don't know if there is a place in Napa, but Roche in Carneros does offer that. Don't know if you do it as part of a tasting or not...IP: 98.232.221.183 |

Well, we enjoy basking in the beauty of the area. Just driving up and down the Silverado Trail is a treat. Picnic lunches on various winery properties is blissful. We haven't been to see "Old Faithful" yet, but we did wander through the Petrified Forest, and that was interesting. I believe that there are summer concerts to enjoy, but we haven't been in the area during the summer.
