I would recommend staying in Napa, because there are many options from hotels, motels, B and B's, resort or vacation cottages. Five things that I would recommend are, 1:COPIA (www.copia.org), The Napa Valley Wine Train, a wine tour, Sonoma Square (Also depending on where you are from, Bodega Bay, in Sonoma county is a beautiful ocean trip), and a Balloon Ride. Three airports an hour drive to Napa, SFO, Oakland, and Sacramento.

My wife and I are visiting the wine country for about 5 days beginning July 4th. We will concentrate our time in Sonoma and Napa. Please advise as to the following:
Which community to lodge in...
Is this an advisable time to visit...
Top 5 must do things for first timer...
She's not very outdoorsy aside from
strolling down the street so nature
hikes are very questionable...
Fly into San Francisco?
Open to suggestions, we're celebrating her
50th birthday

Thank you
Greg
