I'm not normally quick to post my reactions on the Internet after staying someplace on vacation, but this time I can't stop myself. Before I made reservations at Sonoma Rose Villa, I read through all the reviews online and saw that there was one bitchy one, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well, I want everyone to know for sure that the Villa is a perfect place for a getaway with your friends. My partner and I invited four other couples to stay with us at the Villa, and we all absolutely LOVED IT! The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable, even romantic. The bathrooms were great (I don’t know what the bitchy one was whining about). We especially loved the bright, cheerful, totally equipped kitchen (it really had a good vibe). We spent an entire afternoon and evening enjoying the large, gorgeous yard (I loved the gardens), swimming, lounging by the pool, BBQing steaks and corn on the cob, sipping on fine wine, and later in the evening, relaxing in the hot tub (which was extremely clean, by the way). The place was only a couple minutes drive to downtown, where we went shopping and had lunch, and it was just as close to the whole countryside of vineyards (we did a wine tasting tour too!) The owner was friendly and sweet to us from start to finish; she was attentive to our needs while totally respecting our privacy. Sure, the Villa isn't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for! If you want a fun, romantic getaway for a group, this is your place.[This message has been edited by scoyle (edited 08-06-2008).] IP: 68.226.59.82 |

The Sonoma Rose Villa is the perfect wine country getaway. It had everything we were looking for to fit the mood of our weekend - beautiful, serene and classy. The owner is lovely and was absolutely gracious throughout our stay. The Villa is definitely on our best of the best list! (Don't be fooled by the "upset" review.....sounds like they should have went to Vegas.) IP: 67.169.74.158 |

We have enjoyed the Sonoma Rose Villa three times already, and will return this September for several days of R & R. It has everything you need to relax and have fun, especially after a day of touring the wineries! Pool, hot tub, barbecue, and of course the lovely large house are great. Inside and out, excellent quality, comfortable and attention to detail are apparent, with many thoughtful touches. (It's probably true that if you just like to "party till you puke" like fraternity boys, the beauties of this place will be lost on you.) We're staying again in September. IP: 71.72.246.155 |

We just spent a week at the Sonoma Rose Villa for a family reunion and we all loved it! There is a large pebble bottom pool, outdoor hot tub, two jacuzzi baths which we all used and found to be immaculate. We played ping-pong, horse shoes, used the barbaque, badminton...lots of play space. There are not one, but two large dining tables in adjacent rooms that worked quite well, and another large table under the pergola. Of the three bath rooms, one has both a shower and a claw foot tub with double sinks so it was sufficient for the twelve of us. The inn keeper was the sweetest woman in the world. If you had problems with her, its on you....don't be a hater. As far as the "flickulitous" goes, most likely of the 11 of you in the medium sized hot tub, someone was too lazy to get out to use the restroom! Who needs more clocks in a vacation rental? that's weird? The villa was as clean as the hotels in Germany...squeaky clean! 100% recommend.IP: 68.122.9.27 |

Beautiful grounds, nice bed rooms. Even the owner is pleasant on the phone.[This message has been edited by Frank F (edited 09-04-2008).] IP: 216.93.202.94 |
