To Exclusive Events
A number of wineries now are starting to offer exclusive opportunities to a select few members of the public who would like to join in the harvest fun. Two Northern California wineries have recently opened up camp-type activities for the wine lover. Cakebread Cellars offers its influential American Harvest Workshop, and Schramsberg’s puts on “Camp Schramsberg.”
Like summer camps for adults, both teach about grape growing, winemaking and appreciation, as well as pairing wine with food. At Cakebread, famous chefs share the spotlight with the wines, while at Schramsberg, local chef and cooking instructor Holly Peterson Mondavi helps demonstrate the versatility of the winery’s sparkling wines with meals.
