CASTLE VINEYARDS ON THE PLAZA
Taste Castle Vineyards
On The Plaza
By Paul Franson
A historic bungalow built in 1922 in downtown Sonoma and formerly owned by the Sebastiani family has been transformed into the new tasting room for Castle Vineyards. Castle’s tasting room was located at its slightly hard to find winery in Sonoma, but the new site is just off the Sonoma Plaza. It’s open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The winery produces small-lot and vineyard-designated wines from the 40 acres of vineyards owner Vic McWilliams manages in Sonoma Valley, including Pinot Noir, Viognier, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel and port.
