The Wine Prism is an S-shaped glass straw with a hole poked near the top to allow air to enter and mix with the wine. According a company press release, using the Wine Prism increases oxygen by more than 70 percent in wines already decanted while helping to reduce palate fatigue.” The Wine Prism works by drawing air through a small aerating hole, allowing air and wine to combine in the glass stem as the drinker sips on the glass “straw” effectively volatilizing the wine and making its various components easier to taste.
