SAUVIGNON REPUBLIC
And To The Sauvignon Republic,
For Which It Stands…
Four wine and food industry veterans have created a new wine brand with a unique twist: individual bottlings of one grape variety sourced from the best regions around the world for that grape. Sauvignon Republic is the brainchild of chef and author John Ash, winemaker John Buechsenstein, former Fetzer Vineyards president Paul Dolan and restaurateur and marketer Tom Meyer and is dedicated to bringing great Sauvignon Blanc to the market.
The new venture’s first two Sauvignon Blancs in market are a 2003 from the Russian River Valley and a 2004 from New Zealand’s Marlborough region. Future releases will be from the Loire Valley in France, the Fruili in Northern Italy, South Africa, Chile and Austria. All wines will be packaged in screwcaps for freshness and reliability. You can now taste Sauvignon Republic wines at Locals tasting room located in Geyersville.
