We’re off and running with a Fall schedule sure to knock your socks off (at least, we hope so!). Dancing in the Café Theatre, musical legends, a wirewalker extraordinaire, comedy and family shows, plus so much more. Here are a few highlights from our eclectic lineup:
Saturday, October 3rd , the color Pink will light up the evening sky at our annual black-tie fundraising Gala featuring the ever-popular Pink Martini in the theatre followed by spectacular wining, dining and live auction across the street in the Pink Pavilion.
Zoppe Italian Family Circus
We’re taking the Opera House out of its box and under the big top for six shows of the Zoppé Italian Family Circus, October 8-11, on the picturesque picnic grounds at the Veteran’s Home in Yountville. Gather family and friends of all ages (parties welcome!), arrive early and enjoy a meal outdoors, then sit back and delight in this charming one-ring, old world Italian circus – the way it used to be!
2010 is right around the corner, and we invite you to ring in the New Year in style with one singular sensation – Marvin Hamlisch. One of only two individuals awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Pulitzer Prize, Mr. Hamlisch, on solo piano, will present an evening of songs perfect for celebrating the new year. The show will be followed by a champagne dessert reception and dancing in the Café Theatre.
Mark your calendars for January 30, 2010 as we celebrate the Opera House’s 130th anniversary. In January 1880, the doors first opened for a grand ball to christen the theatre. Fittingly, on 1-30, we will recreate that fantastic evening with our own anniversary ball featuring a special guest performer. Keep your eyes on our website for more information to come!
