Travelers looking to take their tasting experience to altogether greater sensory heights will find just the thing in Lynmar Estate’s
brand new Estate Tour, debuting just in time for the summer travel season. Offered at the Russian River Valley winery by appointment only Thursdays and Fridays beginning July 8, the Tour guides participants through a two-hour deep dive into the winery’s facilities and operations, concluding with a sumptuous food and wine pairing prepared by winery chef Sandra Simile.
Billed as “a complete sensory journey,” the tour is designed to go beyond the typical tasting experience to incorporate elements of touch, smell, sound and sight as well. Lynmar does its best to deliver on this promise, including in the tour plenty of opportunities to engage the senses: Guests will visit the spot’s expansive organic gardens, its horticulture center and greenhouse, estate vineyards, gravity flow winery (where winemaker Hugh Chappelle may make a cameo) and underground caves. And with a food and wine pairing planned to wrap it all up, this much, at least, is for certain: Guests’ sense of hunger
will no doubt be satisfied.
Tours are $65 per person and offered by appointment only Thursdays and Fridays at 10:30AM.
