manakras corner.jpgAs the Sipping Savant name would indicate, I like to ‘sip’ wine.  I discovered a new Wine Region and took some friend along for the visit.  In between wine tasting at Ledgewood Creek, olive oil tasting at Il Fiorello, and then wine tasting at Mankas Corner/Vezer Vineyards Sipping Savant Entourage were in need of sustenance. Time for lunch.

At the stop sign for Mankas Corner, Sipping Savant Entourage found the Vintage Corner Caffé.  What a wonderful find!  Their cuisine has a great mix of comfort and continental and all very, very fresh.
They certainly have something for everyone! Grilled food like tri-tip steak sandwich/hamburgers/patty melts or honey battered fried chicken, appetizers of ‘calamaretti’ or antipasto, and phenomenal garlic fries & onion rings. If light is your fancy … the fresh Wedge of Iceburg Lettuce with real bacon dices and bleu cheese dressing surrounded by avocados is as artful to the eye and taste buds as their fantastic crab cake salad with house made maple vinaigrette dressing.

manakrascornerseating.jpgItalian, Italian, Italian … authentic homemade gnocchi, various linguine or fettuccine offerings with meats, sea foods, vegetables and of course … Lasagna.  Believe it or not, they even have a ‘Low Carb, but still Italiana’ menu!  The Entourage all got something different and shared.  Even the home brewed iced tea was addicting.

Casual in atmosphere and décor, but surrounded with all the fine touches Owner GiGi Canapa likes when she dines out. The option for outdoor dining when the weather was nice will definitely ensure I’ll go there many times … well every time I need some more of the Suisun Valley’s great value wines!
