Jump on a bike and head off-road through back roads, hidden spots and literally ride through the vineyards!
This experience will take you through the Carneros in southern Napa Valley, a region that is as famous for its postcard views and Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. With a casual biking pace and frequent stops, the emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and the wine. You’ll pedal an average of 2-4 miles between stops; the total amount of riding on this tour is less than 10 miles.
These off-road vineyard routes are not open to the public, making this tour an absolutely unique adventure.
Ride through vineyards
Ride off-road and literally through the vineyards on routes that made exclusively available to us for this specific tour (these vineyard routes are not accessible to the general public).
Though you'll be riding off-road, rest assured the terrain is not technical; the entire experience is designed for casual riders.
Visit two wineries
On this tour, you’ll venture to the Carneros AVA, best known for milder-climate varietals such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, where you will visit Bouchaine Vineyards one of the following wineries: Mckenzie Mueller, Etude, Ceja or Le Wines.
Nervous about spitting or dumping? Don’t be! These are standard practices for experienced tastings and will make you look like a wine-savvy pro!
Engage all five senses
When you choose a tour that gets you to engage all five senses, you're guaranteed to leave wine country with an unforgettable memory.
The riding is mostly flat and a mix of about 80% on quiet country roads (like this) and 20% off-road riding through the vineyards.

Napa has beautiful bicycling weather March through November when this tour is offered! In the rare circumstance when rain occurs in the days prior to your tour date, making conditions muddy, this tour may be converted paved road riding.

This is truly an off-the-beaten-path experience that allows you to get up close and personal with the vineyards.

Be sure to have a good breakfast before this tour. You'll be with us from 9:30 am to ~2:00 pm and this tour does not include lunch, although a light snack is provided.
Bikes are equipped with handlebar bags large enough to carry sunscreen, phone & small personal items.
The Carneros region can have coastal fog any time of the year; bring warm layers just in case.

Wine tasting fees are not included (typically $30-40); some wineries may waive fees with minimum purchase. Full pre-payment required to secure bike tour reservation; $25/person cancellation fee; cancellations are no accepted with less than 24 hours notice. All guests must be over age 21.
