Your Host: Laurel Glen Vineyard
Laurel Glen Vineyard, a thousand feet up the slopes of Sonoma Mountain, has long been considered one of the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards of California. Originally planted to grapes in the 1880s, the present-day vineyard was developed by Sonoma wine pioneer Patrick Campbell in the 1970s. After 30 vintages, Patrick sold the vineyard and winery to a small group of wine lovers led by Bettina Sichel, whose family has been making wine in Europe for five generations. Among the many quality improvements introduced by the new team are certified organic farming practices and updated pruning and trellising methods.
