Yountville | CA

Yountville, CA - August 16, 2006 - Napa Valley's progressive culinary hamlet of Yountville placed another feather in its cap with the opening of V Wine Cellar in the courtyard of the Vintage 1870 specialty retail complex. The sommelier-owned retail shop and tasting bar offers hard-to-find wines, wine appreciation and education in a warm and casual lounge setting that brings a hip new lifestyle feel to the historic retail center.

V Wine Cellar's proprietors, Scott Lewis, a European-trained sommelier and educator, and partner Larry Shupnick, proudly offer a selection of the finest boutique and handcrafted wines available. V Wine Cellar's location at Vintage 1870, the 135-year-old restored Groezinger Winery, sets the stage for over 3,000 bottlings artfully displayed for perusal. From California's hot new releases to hand picked gems from around the world, to a selection of rare library wines, Ports, Madeiras and an array of fine cigars, V Wine Cellar presents an inviting wine environment that will please novices and aficionados alike. The cellar offers a choice of a tasting bar or a cozy lounge where guests can savor and experience the world of wine with expert advice from their knowledgeable staff.. or just be left to personal exploration.

"We're a fusion of tasting bar, cellar and wine lounge with a staff that's committed to making wine a more fun and accessible experience. Whether you come in to enjoy a glass, buy a bottle or a case, V Wine Cellar is your wine source in the Napa Valley," says partner Scott Lewis.

V Wine Cellar also offers private cellar dining for up to 40 guests for special events, winemaker dinners and educational seminars with house sommeliers.
