No, Hawkeye, I haven't had any of the wines you mentioned, but we are really Sonoma-oriented it seems.
We attended a food and wine event last weekend that had some really good offerings- Beaucannon is the one that I can think of from California that we liked. The exact wine names escape me at the moment, but I'll check my notes and get back to you on that.
We did have the chance to try some exceptional wines from Washington as well; the Walla Walla and Yakima areas seem to play to our palates in particular, but there is one teeny AVA called Red Mountain that we especially enjoy. I'll get those names for you, too.
Hope you have a great holiday. Stay warm and safe!

Have you had the Baldacci Cabs? They had three that I particularly enjoyed the '07 IV Sons Cab at $35.00 and the Brenda's Vineyard Cab at $105.00. They just had a garage sale of the '07 IV Sons for $17.50. I immediately ordered another 6 bottles at what I consider a great bargain. I also purchased their '07 Diamond Mountain Cab and at $72.00, thought it was a bargain.

However, I am still enamored with the Bennett Lane reds. Their Maximus at $35.00 is an outstanding bargain.

What about you?

Hello, Hawkeye.
Guilty on the Screaming Eagle. I am surprised that you found it anywhere!!
Any other interesting wines to talk about?
I found out that the Trecini Sauv. Blanc that I enjoyed so much in Santa Rosa is not distributed outside of the area, except in some restaurants, so I've ordered some to hold me over. They also have a Rockpile Zin and a Merlot that sound interesting.

I am not sure who mentioned Screaming Eagle unless it was Yesilovewine, how expensive it was, and had never seen a bottle. Well, hold on to you socks, I found 2 bottles of 1992 Screaming Eagle Cab for you on an auction site. The beginning bid is $6000.00. I would probably purchase it myself, but it is just a little over my price point. Here is the address if you would like to see for yourself. Scroll to the bottom.

This board has been awfully quiet. Damombo must be in wine country right now. Look forward to her report.

We have booked our flight for March. Leaving home on March 2 and returning on the 7th. Will start planning after the Christmas season.

Have a great Thanksgiving.
