So sorry to hear about your hubby's knee. Hopefully the second time around goes better than the first.
My wife and I were really looking forward to meeting you at Montelena, and sharing wine and stories. Hopefully we get another chance to meet you in the future.

If you are ever near the Jersey Shore, please let me know. The wine fridge is well stocked!

Wow, Damombo, what a bummer! Guess we will have to lift a glass to you when we get there. Maybe at the St. Helena Salon where they have two magnificent Thomas Rivers Brown cabs. We will be sure to tell you how they taste.

Rubbing it in a little . . . just sayin'.

One of my favorite Linda Ronstadt songs is Poor, Poor Pitiful Me

and now it seems to fit so well!! (with apologies to my poor poor pitiful hubby)

Our November Napa Trip is not gonna happen - I'm spending my morning cancelling all those "best laid plans"...

The knee surgery is officially a dud - poor husband has to have the new knee out and start all over - please don't tell his tale of woe to anyone who is about to undergo a joint replacement surgery. This really was a one in a million kind of mess - normally knee surgery is a breeze, and his was - it was the stupid infection in July that tossed a wrench into everything.

Poor Poor Pitiful us
