We have a family reunion/wedding in central CA at the beginning of May and we will spend a day in Paso Robles touring and tasting - I've been doing some research on those wineries. If I remember correctly, it is very close to Robert Biale Winery, which is one of my favorite Zin houses. Heh Rebel, have you made your itinerary yet? We have cancelled our March trip. I am not sure that I am up to it yet, and our Lab has pancreatic cancer which we are treating with chemo, and Mrs. Hawkeye just does not want to put her in a kennel right now. So, I guess I will have to go to Napa through the eyes of all of you. Find me some good wineries to visit when we do make another trip. -Hawkeye IP: 68.169.189.79

(and remember - Mr. Damombo wants you to continue to be well and find us new, delightful wineries to visit - perhaps we should be sending you a retainer?) This place is only charging $85 pp, which is why I jumped at the chance. It looks like other events have been $105 and $150 pp, so I guess it depends on what the winery wants to charge? I don't know why there would be such a discrepancy in price - but I like the $85 choice! IP: 98.198.192.251

Our St. John's Restaurant will on occasion host a wine dinner and we attend most of them. damombo Member	posted 01-28-2013 04:31 PM Got an email this afternoon that a local restaurant will be hosting a Surh Lucktel dinner next week! And we are going to go! Gary Lucktel will be there and the menu looks delish Apparently this place has hosted several other wine dinners - Switchback Ridge was there last fall and earlier in the year they had Nickel & Nickel, Far Niente, Orin Swift and Fisher. So glad to have found this out - sorry we missed the Switchback Ridge event. That is one of the wineries represented by Scotti Stark and we had the pleasure of tasting their wines in October.
