Glad you had a great trip. People get hooked on Napa Valley so it does not surprise me that you are already planning your next trip.

Just returned from our first trip to the valley and we had an incredible time. We took the scenic route up Hwy 1 to Bodega Bay and over to Santa Rosa and then up to Calistoga. It was well worth the drive!!

We were there 2 full days and hit these wineries:

Chateau Montelena - The movie Bottleshock inspired us to go so we had to visit here. Great scenery and excellent wines.
Envy - Just down the road from Chateau Montelena and was a great spot. Server was amazing which I'm sure made the visit even better. All in all might have been our most fun stop. Met several fun people there as well. Bought a nice Cabernet Sauvignon there.
Sterling - View was great, however, we didn't enjoy the wine as much but still worth the price just for the view.
Freemark Abbey - Amazing grounds and tasting room.
V Suttui - Great deli and nice picnic area to eat our food and relax a while.
Grgich Hills - Great tasting and wines there as well.
Jessup - Another enjoyable tasting.
Hope & Grace - Server there was amazing. We went off the list a few times.

Ended up shipping 6 bottles home ranging from chardonnay to cabernet so we can sit and enjoy the visit again!

The Stevenson Inn room and staff was awesome. Also enjoyed Yountville very much as well. The Bouchon Bakery was amazing also!

Thanks to all of your postings which helped. We are already planning the next trip.
