Pinot Gris is a wine I have developed a liking for in the last few years. I crispness and acidity I find especially good with fish and seafood. I had been drinking mainly Italian offerings until a recent trip to Portland. I had a bottle of Oregon Pinot Gris with salmon at Jakes. It was good to the point we tracked down a case to take with us when we left. In this case it was Kings Estate, but since then I have tasted other Oregon offerings that I find enjoyable. It seems this varietal is particularly well suited to the Oregon growing conditions.
