There hasn't been activity in the message boards in awhile. Somewhat sad considering people's comments are quite helpful when visiting a wine region!

In any event, I finally went to Boonfly Cafe on the Carneros Inn property for breakfast. I've gone there several times for lunch and it's okay. I was slightly more impressed with breakfast though a tad bit on the pricey side.

I recommend going early in the morning b/c it can get crowded and the place is a bit on the small side.

I had their eggs, with sausage, toast and potatoes. It was pretty good. I tried some of my friends pancakes as well. Everything tasted very fresh - oh - and we had the mini donuts that everyone always talks about. Not bad, not bad. Definitely eat while on the premise. We didn't finish them all and tried to take them home - they don't taste that great later on.

In general, good to try once or twice, and a good stop if you are planning a wine tasting day in Sonoma, but not exactly at the top of my list.

It's not in "Wine Country" but thus far, my places for a fabulous breakfast is Bette's Ocean View Diner on 4th street in Berkeley and La Note also in Berkeley on Shattuck Street!
