Booked two rooms in Jan 2013 for Labor Day weekend (8/31 & 9/1) and paid in full (over $1000.00). Late afternoon on 8/28 received a call from "Kevin" (the owner/former owner) saying the Ink House had been sold and the new owners wanted to renovate the property "immediately", so all existing reservations through Dec 2013 were being cancelled. He had made arrangements near by at the "Farm House B & B" for the nights I had paid for with the Ink House. Same price; "better place". He would credit my credit card for the full amount previously paid on 9/3 or 9/4. To date, that has not happened. The phone number for the Ink House has no voice mail, and calls since 9/20 have not been returned.
BEWARE - MasterCard will do nothing, since the time between payment and my claim to them was greater than 60 days.
The Farm House was OUTSTANDING in EVERY respect. Too bad I had to pay twice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ink House. We stayed in the French room which was Elvis Presley's room when he made a movie here. It had a king bed, lots of space, a flat screen TV, and internet access. The room was spotless and charming and very quiet but it was up one flight of stairs. We loved the breakfasts and took home two of their recipes. The grounds are nice and we sampled grapes in their vineyard and walked across the land to free tastings at Whitehall Lane Winery and Franciscan and bought wine at both places. Rachel gave us great recommendations to dinner at Press (steakhouse) and Brassica (mediterraneum), The hot air balloon company picked us up and dropped us back right at the front door - amazing experience! Besides the service and location the best thing about the Ink House was their Winter Special pricing of three nights for the price of two and rates of
under 200 bucks a night which we couldn't find anywhere else in Napa.

Thanks so much for the great time Ink House, we will be back!!!!!

I never made it to The Ink House B&B. In the middle of making my reservation, the clerk to whom I was talking asked if she could call me back; however, she never did. When I called again, another clerk told me that the room information I was given when I first called was incorrect and that she needed to check with the innkeeper and would call me back. Again, no call was received. I really thought that these two clerks should not be in the business that involves dealing with customers. So I went ahead and booked a reservation somewhere else.
