Hi Eug,
Having been married almost 54 years (August) (my wife only admits to 34, saying she is at least 20 years younger than me), maybe we all need a romantic weekend (at our ages, it would take us a week to get in a weekend).

I can remember a few years ago we took a "Romantic Tour" at O'Brien Cellars, vintners of Seduction Cab blend. It was pretty nice if I remember correctly!!! Here is their website
http://www.obrienestate.com/ Peruse through it and see what you think.

Give them a call or email and ask them what they could suggest how you could go about it. I just bet they may have something special. Maybe they can do a special lunch for the two of you. Remember, always be nice and do everything she says, and you too can be married 54 years.

Hi Eug - I vote for Yountville if you are looking for a romantic setting. There are several lovely hotels there and some wonderful restaurants. Like Yes said, over on TripAdvisor there will be loads of reviews of the area hotels. There is a B&B in Napa called Old World Inn, and they always point out that the concierge of whatever place you choose will have a lot of ideas for romantic locations for proposals. Good luck!

Hi and welcome to our little group.
You will get more notice if you will re-post under the wineries to visit topics; we seem to have most of our activity on those topic lines rather than these peripherals.
But, I can tell you that on trip advisor there have been numerous discussions about proposals in the last year or so. Do a forum search over there to get some ideas about potential locations/situations for your big moment.
Also, wine country getaways has some wedding planning ideas that include proposal site suggestions. At least I think it was there. If not, try cheers 2 wine.
I'm not great at Napa info, but I can hold my own on the Sonoma side, so if you could consider Sonoma, post over there.

I'm trying to plan a weekend for my girlfriend and I, somewhere in Napa Valley. The problem is that I've never been there before, and this weekend has to be perfect because I'm going to propose to her.

Can anyone suggest a good place to stay that is close to some attractions and has a nice view? We would definitely like to do some wine tasting and anything that is worth trying out.

Any help pointing me in the right direction would be awesome!
