If you are willing to give up some of that wine country ambience around your lodging, consider the Flamingo Resort and Spa in Santa Rosa for your stay. The place is really fun and is actually designed to replicate the Flamingo Resort in Las Vegas...same architect and everything.

It is an affordable option for your visit and offers many amenities considered standard these days, like wi-fi and in-room frig. They have pools, tennis courts, on-site dining and lounge, and offer access to a full scale fitness center as well.
They recently renovated; we stayed there prior to that and were completely happy with it...but we were NOT focused on trying to capture that quaint, romantic essence of "wine country". If that's what you're looking for, this isn't the place to find it.
