I wonder if any of the people that live Near a Trader Joe's would want to get into a little business on the side to start shippin This Black Mountain wine to those of us arround the country that do not have acces to a Trader Joes. I too think the Balck Mountain Zin is the best wine for the price I have ever had. My email is jrhobbs45@charter.net. Please put Black Mountain in Header if you are interestedIP: 24.176.107.126 |

I missed Fat Cat too since I moved from CA to FL. I found the Coastal Ridge and Napa Ridge in the corner superstore (Publix). Bought Coastal Ridge Cab and tried, it's great, I think I found the Cat! The taste is all there, It does seem of a lighter body but I haven't had the Fat Cat for a couple of years so production or blend must have a small variation (or my memory fails me). Only thing to miss from the T.J's cousin is the nicer presentation and price. Coastal Ridge presentation (which looks a lot like Napa Ridge, hmm.. why two different brands for the same thing?) is just like your average mass produced bottle. Also the price has changed, I checked a couple of stores and it's retailed at 7.99 or 8.99. Minor stuff since the vino still great at that price!IP: 66.32.42.43 |

After hearing the Newshour presentation and other research on "Resveratrol" and its possible effect on the two anti aging genes (and the fact that Pinot Noir wine is a very high source of Resveratrol) i went to buy some - apparently Pinot Noir grapes are hard to grow and the wine difficult to make so it is generally expensive - BUT - Black Mountain Vineyards Pinot Noir is only $4.99 a bottle at Trader Joes!! my e-mail is <googing@astound.net> if you want more info on the Resveratrol or just do some Google searching IP: 66.234.219.204 |

I like the Merlot even better than the Cabernet, and the Chardonney is very good. Thank God that this brand is a TJ's staple. All are great daily drinkers and good enough for company.IP: 68.4.94.49 |

This is my favorite wine in its price range as well. Check out this link: http://www.travelenvoy.com/wine/usindexb.htmApparently the wine is made by a much larger grower that can say that the wine is made in Sonoma even though the grapes can be from all over California (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, especially in this case). I was wondering the same and phoned Trader Joe's. They said Black Mountain Vineyard is the name only for Trader Joe's so that they can sell this wine cheaper. So, there may be the exact same wine at other liquor store under the different label, but probably sold at higher price. And the name of the wine or the actual vineyard is confidential and they cannot release it. So, if you like them, the only way you can get it is through Trader Joe's. Interesting, huh?IP: 216.113.210.106 |

Has anyone tasted this fabulous wine? I can find it only at Trader Joe's and cannot find a winery listing anywhere in the area. The bottle clearly states the winery is located in Sonoma, CA. Help! I want to visit/buy direct......Thanks!!IP: 209.76.104.55 |
