Borders Express to Hold Grand Opening Celebration Events Weekend of October 15

Monterey, CA (September, 2005), The grand opening of Borders Express at 222 Del Monte Center (formerly Waldenbooks) will feature a wide array of special events on Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16. (see list below).

On Saturday, customers can go to Borders Express to enter their drawing for a collection of Borders Classics with twenty classic literary titles, and a grand prize-winner will be drawn at the end of the day. They can also enter to win one of two Borders Express $50 Gift Cards.

A collection of Monterey's most popular fiction writers will be in store to discuss and sign their most recent anthology, Monterey Shorts II.

New retailers scheduled to open at Del Monte Center before the Holiday season include Hot Topic (teen apparel), Pacific Sunwear (teen apparel), Aerosoles (shoes), Boadie's American Grill (restaurant), and Waldenbooks will be renovated into Borders Express.
