Violinist Kristin Lee, celebrated for her “elegance” and “electric energy,” will join the Eugene Symphony Orchestra at the Hult Center as the featured soloist in Vivian Fung’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Inspired by the sounds and spirit of Balinese gamelan, the piece draws from the rich textures, natural beauty, and cultural vibrancy of Bali. Under the baton of Music Director Alex Prior, this performance promises a dynamic and evocative musical journey.

The concert, titled Fate & Fire, also features Leonard Bernstein’s lively West Side Story Overture and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 5. Presented by Eugene Symphony, this evening blends cultural inspiration, timeless classics, and virtuosic performance for a truly unforgettable orchestral experience.
