Another smart wine event is coming your way this weekend in the
San
Francisco Vintners Market, a
wine-tasting-and-shopping event modeled on farmers’ markets. Offering
wines from some 200 “local” wineries (think Napa Valley, Sonoma County,
Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Russian River Valley, as
well as select imports), the tasting is being touted as the first-ever
of its kind in that attendees will be able to purchase any wine they
like on the spot.
Try It, Buy ItOffering wine at all price points and styles including new releases, library collections, and end-of-vintage selections – all available for immediate purchase – the Market will take place this Saturday and Sunday froom noon to 5pm at Fort Mason, with advanced tickets priced at $30 and VIP early admittance tix available for $75. The brainchild of
Wine 2.0 founders Cornelius Geary and Jeff Playter, the market was established with the goal of bringing small producers into contact with buyers they might not otherwise meet. Cheers to that, as we’re all for anything that helps bring wine country a little closer to us all.
